Haven Housing Trust

The Haven Housing Trust is a local housing charity, that provide supported accommodation for the homeless who are 50 years plus in Nottingham. The charity also operates a Furniture Project, where members of the public are encouraged to donate good, clean furniture, appliances and bric-a-brac for use in Haven’s accommodation. Surplus goods; those not needed within the accommodation Haven provide, are sold at affordable prices in their Sneinton Market warehouse and their Radford Road shop to cover the running costs of the project.

Sneinton Community Traders hold a twice weekly traditional fruit and veg market with great quality and prices. Saturday morning 8am till 1.30 is the  traditional street market with a selection of stalls offering local food, new goods, second hand stalls, plants and flowers. They hold frequent events throughout the year, and love to offer the space to local community and interest groups. Sneinton Market has been held on this site since 1850 and is the natural hub between the Lace Market, Sneinton and St Ann’s. The traders took over the market in 2005 and have weathered times of decline, economic struggles and gradual regeneration.
