Enjoy Light Night at Sneinton Market on Friday

January 4th 2019

Light Night is returning to Sneinton Market on Friday. After a very successful event last year we are doing it again. There'll be lots to do and plenty to see on a night sure to beat the winter blues.

The Creative Quarter, with the UK Young Artists City Takeover and a whole host of partners, is hosting our second Nottingham Light Night at Sneinton Market Avenues on February 8 with live art and music, projections, street food, several bars, a specially commissioned art installation and much more.

As darkness falls, the Avenues and Plaza will be come to life and an illuminated parade will create a pulsating carnival atmosphere with glowing lanterns, puppets, flamboyant costumes and carnival dancers.

The first band are on at 5pm. They are called The Face That Boils Itself and they play a sort of woodland folk music that you will be sorry to miss. So get down early.

Our dj for the night is Northern Soul Sarah (and her tambourine).

Between 6 and 8 four artists from the UKYA City Takeover will be centre stage. Get involved!
