Creative Quarter Loan Fund

July 8th 2019

Are you looking for funding for your business? The Creative Quarter Loan Fund could be the answer. Any creative or digital business in the Nottingham City Council area and any kind of business in a now slightly extended Creative Quarter Loan Fund area can apply.

Nottingham's Creative Quarter Loan Fund is helping to boost the city’s creative and digital businesses to develop and grow. Already 50 businesses have benefitted from loans totalling £120m.

The £1m fund backed by Nottingham City Council is managed by the First Enterprise Business Agency through their Enterprise Loan East Midlands programme.

The Creative Quarter Loan Fund has recently been refreshed (Summer 2019) and loans from £500 to £50,000 will be available over the next 5 to 10 years to new start-ups AND existing businesses.

To apply for CQ Loan funding, businesses must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Creative and Digital Industry (CDI) business based in Nottingham City Council’s local authority boundary area;

and/or:

  • Be any business (not restricted to CDI businesses) based in, or relocating to, a now slightly extended Creative Quarter Loan Fund area in the centre of Nottingham which includes Hockley, the Lace Market, Sneinton Market and Pennyfoot Street and some surrounding areas.
